Health Challenge:
Ongoing body pain, sleep issues and rebuilding strength.
After his daughter Jenny was diagnosed with a cancer, Bill began reflecting more closely on his own health. Over time, he had been dealing with increasing body pain, disrupted sleep, low energy, and gradual weight gain. These issues had slowly become part of everyday life, and it wasn’t always clear what could realistically be changed.
Rather than looking for a dramatic overhaul, Bill wanted to understand whether there were small, meaningful ways he could better support his health and feel more comfortable day to day.
The Shift.
Bill completed a DNA test and, with support from the Geno 3 team, explored his results alongside his lifestyle and health story.
Instead of being given a long list of things to fix, the focus was on identifying a small number of high-priority areas that were most relevant for him. Seeing his information framed this way helped Bill understand where change would be most worthwhile and where effort could be simplified.
With clearer priorities, Bill made gradual adjustments to his diet, shopping habits and daily routines. He introduced targeted supplements, increased his movement, and set up simple home gym equipment to support regular exercise.
With support from his wife Linda, he also reduced exposure to environmental toxins such as improving water filtration and minimising plastic use. The changes were practical, manageable, and built into everyday life rather than added on.
How it felt.
As things became clearer, Bill felt more motivated and encouraged.
Rather than feeling stuck with long-standing issues, he had a clearer sense that progress was possible. The changes felt achievable, and seeing steady improvements helped build confidence and momentum.
Where are things now?
Bill has lost over a stone in weight (so far)
Over time, Bill noticed improvements in his energy levels, fitness and strength, particularly in the swimming pool where he had experienced years of gradual decline.
He’s lost over a stone in weight so far, his sleep quality has improved and his pain levels began to ease.
Most importantly, Bill felt more positive about continuing to support his health moving forward. Not through intensity or pressure, but through clear priorities and steady, sustainable habits.
